I tried smoking when I was 13 because I thought it seemed fun. I smoked for “fun” until one day I realized I was addicted. I attempted to quit several times over the years without success. Over a year ago, I found out I was pregnant. That was it. I knew I had to quit- not only for the next 9 months, but forever. I did not want my child to grow up believing that smoking was an acceptable habit. Since quitting, I have enjoyed jogging and other athletic activities that were impossible with my pack a day addiction. I also am free of the bad odor that smoking causes. Most importantly, I know my daughter is in a safer environment and with a healthier mother.
